Shwebo Market fire

Military Junta looted civilians’ properties in the Shwebo market, Sagaing Region and set the market on fire until it was completely burnt down.An eyewitness told that the fire broke out at 2 A.M in the morning and when the fire fighter came, the soldiers told them that they would all be shot dead if they come near the market to extinguish the fire.A shopkeeper told that bananas from the market were loaded on a military truck and the market was set on fire by them around 2am, but had not been extinguished until 5:30 am. Only two fire trucks were ordered to spray water in the morning after 5:30 A.M.
